Vitrex Tile Saw is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy tool Used this as the only thing I could think of to cut away the overlapping tile on my existing double socket back box as I needed to replace it due to one of the screw holes being broken. Did the job with a bit of perseverance

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spot on Works exactly as expected. Did what I needed. Can't really comment on longevity yet, but seems good!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Vitrex tile saw Yes, it’s good. But, don’t think of it as a saw more a power file. It works well and cuts easily and I didn’t need to smooth the cut edges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Little Hand Saw Used this tool to cut out a rectangle to fit a double electric socket in a 10mm thick ceramic tile. Although time consuming, used correctly you can't go wrong with this tool. I don't understand some of the negative comments given by other users, you are cutting through a tile not through a soft material, so used considerately you will have no problems......highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but... I bought this saw to cut tiles to go around sockets. It took ages to cut 5mm thick tiles and I managed to break a few too. I ended up using my multi-cutter to finish the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish Got this saw to do four cuts around a toilet, my first cut was the largest a curve about 200mm, after a lot of elbow grease I realised it was fruitless as I was only about 10mm into the cut! This saw is not the way forward, avoid at all cost, use a wet saw to cut out small nibs up to your line, pinch off and tidy with a file, noisy but worth it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only for small jobs Used for cutting out a few holes for pipes in thin ceramic wall tiles. A bit awkward to use and takes a lot of patience. Wouldn't try it on anything thicker and ideally only try it where the cut edges won't end up on show.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from U get what u pay for! Poor.... Bought this to cut small shapes to fit tiles around sockets and ledges etc. Standard 20x10cm kitchen tiles. Only doing one room and 4 tiles to shape so no point in buying wet saw/electrical. This is useless for tiles! The glaze on the tile keeps chipping off every few strokes and the 'blade' gets caught half way through the tile jamming itself. It also takes far too long to cut and creates a very wide hole/diameter making measurements and carefully marked cutting lines a wasted effort. . Feels like it should be narrower/finer to cut delicate tiles. Far too much work and gave up after 6 tiles ruined. Buy an electric saw , it will get job done even if it ends up in the loft! , and yes, I did use the saw correctly in long steady motion. Its just a poor tool. You get what you pay for I suppose.
