Titan TTB705BDS 80mm Bandsaw 230-240V is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 72.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from No replacement blades Don't expect this bandsaw to work straight out of the box. It will require re-calibration and tracking to ensure you get a straight cut. It took a lot of trial and error before I was happy with the cuts, but once setup properly it does the job well. That said, the blade that comes with it does not last particularly long. I figured that was fine and had ordered a spare blade when the online checkout recommended 'get this spare blade' etc - assuming they would recommend the right size. Do not be fooled. Screwfix does not sell replacement blades for this model. The blade is an obscure size which is difficult to buy, which other leading manufacturers do not even sell themselves. Screwfix sells this bandsaw on the full knowledge that it does not sell a crucial consumable part, that would frequently need replacement. I hope they will change this in the near future. Positives: * Good value for money and does the job when setup properly * Tidy size with good height on a workbench, easily mountable * Has a good trouble shooting guide at back of manual Negatives: * Angle adjustment on table is difficult to get precise * The straight edge that clamps to the table is not flat on both sides leading to odd cuts, you will need to use a set square to ensure it clamps perfectly square * The blade dulls very quickly (2 weeks of occasional use cutting 40mm deep american ash) * The blade size is obscure and it is not easy to find a supplier of quality blades for this size. I do not recommend the original titan brand saw for the fact it dulls so quickly * The lower blade guide mount does not sit tight and can be knocked moving the blade off centre. This is difficult to get precise when having to re-calibrate the blade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bandsaw Very easy to setup, my one large grumble is the blade, used it twice during the setting up on 2 pieces of 1" x 1" and then it was worthless, if i had known the blade was so useless i would have ordered 2 new decent replacements when i purchesed the bandsaw, other than the blade i am happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bandsaw but not 5* Bough this bandsaw to replace a cheap one that I bought from a german retailer. Good quality, plenty of power for cutting wood. The guide is ok but needs to be really tight or it will move a bit. What lets the saw and down is the blade. It is not high quality and was blunt within 2 weeks. What lets Screwfix down is not stocking the replacement blades for this saw. You would think as it is their own brand they would have blades in stock. Nope. Plus it is an awkward size of blade. You will have to buy online from another retailer. Apart from the blade issue this is a cracking saw for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy but crude engineering My first one didn't work until I realised the safety catch wasn't engaging. By careful closing of the door it worked but would cut off occasionally and anyway the blade guide was off kilter so I returned it for a replacement. The second one was much better. Good points: it's sturdy and performs well. Bad points: it takes some time adjusting the thrust bearings and blade guide supports and the general guide assembly is flimsy; the door takes too long to open because of a ridiculously long bolt, a simple catch would be better; it is only designed to take 1/4" blades. I managed to get the rip fence true by just screwing the knob tight rather than flipping it - takes a little care however.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product at great price Fantastic product. Was given as a gift for my shed workshop (so not too heavy duty) Easy to set up, started going straight through oak and mahogany with no problems even with the stock blade provided. Other reviews have criticised the fence for being a little loose, but let’s not forget that this is an inexpensive band saw for hobby work so it’s not going to be for ultra precision work. That said I’ve had no problems myself, I’m very happy with it for my hobby work, and for the price I’d buy it ten times over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed Not very impressed, will be taking it back tomorrow. After adjusting the blade tracking, I was unable to move the top thrust bearing back from the blade as it had been made in such a way that it wouldn’t adjust any further. Real shame, had they moved the hole for the thrust bearing screw by 1 or 2mm it would have been fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from does the job for the price cant complain so far, still a bit of play in the blade even on max tightness but as long as you go slow its fine,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr. Good value for money, poor documentation, ie incorrect items list ( 8washers not present) did not need them, difficult to set up accurately for squareness to table. Fence bar poorly fitting to table. excessive movement from square with protractor. Could be much better with a little effort.
