Titan TTL 688 HDC 61cm 26cc Petrol Hedge Trimmer is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 86.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst titan ever I bought one of these nearly a year ago. I had to take it back on the first day as it kept cutting out when hot and you could not restart it until it had gone cold. the screwfix staff changed it no problem. the second one did the same but I persevered with it but after 11 months it went faulty it would not turn off. I took this one back and again they changed it no problem. the following day I was cutting my hedges and guess what. when it got hot it cut out and would not start again so I took this one back and they changed it for the mountfield model. I had to pay the difference as expected. the titan is not bad for price if you can keep it going

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value Had this for over a year now and it has never missed a beat, third pull and it's away. Compared to other more expensive ones you would be silly not to consider. It takes me about 2 hours to cut/trim the conifers and other than refuellling it never stops. A good piece of kit and excellent service from Screwfix, Holbeck, Leeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick replacement buy... Bought these trimmers as my Titan multi tool suddenly stopped working. We had to get the hedges done that specific weekend, so I took a risk and went with Titan again. Over two years I've had them now and they're as good as new. And believe me, they get some serious use! We use them for our own hedges (approximately 60 metres in length in total) our neighbours borrow them 3 times a year, my friends borrow them a few times a year, and I use them at work now and again. They start up in no more than 3 pulls and never bog down at any angle I throw them at. I can see these lasting quite some time. If they do ever decide to die on me, I'll buy the same ones again and save the old one for parts. Well impressed with these trimmers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing end. I bought one of these several years ago, though it may have been updated since then. I've not used it regularly during my ownership, but on those occasions when used its been easy to start, easy to turn off and perfectly adequate for cutting branches up to around 25mm. However today, when I went to start the machine I noticed that the tank was empty, which was a surprise. I filled the tank and started the machine and it was obvious that there was a leak of petrol, so due to its age I resolved to bin the thing and buy a new one. However, the price has rocketed since I bought mine and the reviews have not been good, so sadly I'll be looking elsewhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Titan hedge trimmer Purchased and returned this trimmer 4 times one wouldn't start one started then melted in a ball of smoke and the other 2 only worked on the odd occasion, if you did get them started they were prone to conk out with very little chance of getting them restarted

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent value for money I had read all the reviews about this hedge cutter and to be honest I had my reservations. Being a professional user I purchased a Kawasaki hedge cutter from a local dealer in July. 3 weeks later the gear box blew up. It had a warranty and I am still waiting for it to be repaired. I bought this to tide me over and I have not been disappointed. It has more features and power than the expensive Kawasaki, and is just as reliable as my old one. A word to the wise though. If you are converting from electric, don't expect to just pull the cord and it'll go. You have to understand 2stroke engines and their little querks to get the best out of this machine. Expensive branded machines are no better, and you can't get parts for them either, as I found out. I can buy 4 of these for what I paid for the Kawasaki. That's 4 seasons of brand new machines if I need to buy one every year. What a steal!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average You spend more time trying to start it than using it.
