Teetube IP68 3-Pole T-Splitter is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Solution I generally purchase "untried" products on the strength of other peoples reviews, so here is a review from me for a change. First impressions is that this is a chunky, well made, "fit for purpose" outdoor flex connector. Job summary - two spike mounted LED spotlights - 2m from power-source; I used 0.75mm 3 core flex. There is a knack to using connectors of this type, electricians used to working with SWA underground cable "Submarine joints" will find this a doddle. Not overly technical, but fiddly and a bit awkward perhaps for some DIY users. I would suggest taking your time, specifically to ensure you match up the right cable cores at each end of the connector. The included instructions are worse than an Ikea flat-pack guide. Make it all seem over complex. The positions of the various gasket seals should be self-explanatory. Test them out before you add your flexes. Once you are happy with the set up; here is my idiots guide. Start with the two flexes that will come in via the top leg of the T. Do not strip the outer sheath too much. 50mm should do you. Bring both of these flexes in to the centre and pull enough spare through to make it easy to work with. Connect them into bottom of the connector. L,N,E are marked but I am sure you will see what I mean - it is not 100% clear which terminals correspond to the markings. Not a big deal as long as your cores match up. i.e two browns in one end connect to one brown at the other end etc. * Remember to have all your gland locking collars and gaskets either loose in place or slid up the flexes, with all parts in right order. Once you have connected these two flexes, the 3rd flex is much easier to connect as it is only one and not doubled up like the other two. I found it very workable with 0.75mm flex and would probably be ok with up to 1.00mm. I wouldnt want to use any bigger than that. Once all 3 flexes connected and you have double checked all terminals are tidy and tight, gently pull the first two flexes away from the centre - pull both at same time and the connector will plonk itself into position. Tighten up the 3 gland locking nuts, ensuring gaskets all in place. Hand tight will do unless you dont eat porridge ;-) This is the 0.75mm rubber flex I used. Good quality flex at a decent price. Just be sure this is suitable for your job. It is not an alternative to armoured cable. If in doubt get an electrician. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but fiddly As others have said if you're using 2.5mm cable it's all too tight. I was replacing some old metal junctions boxes and I had to perform the task in place in amongst the garden shrubs. Even working on a bench it's fiddly but kneeling in the mud it was exhausting. I'd happily pay 50% more for a double sized product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great waterproof joint. I bought this T-Splitter to connect up some LED garden lights. It is very well made and works well with rubber pond flex. Once connected and the glands screwed down tight I would be very surprised if any water managed to get inside. Overall a great solid product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from T.C Good product did the job it was bought for, a bit fiddly to get all wires in, but well satisfied.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 3 way cable connector If you buy this for 4mm forget it. I could barely get 2.5 to fit.In all fairness it does work well for cable up to 2.5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Robust waterproof connector I bought this joint to repair some dodgy driveway lighting which was constantly tripping the house circuit breaker due to water getting in to some badly designed junction boxes. It is well designed but not as easy to fit as the straight joint which I also bought. It is fine with smaller cables but it is difficult to accommodate the larger 13.5mm diameter cables it claims to handle. I'm sure the product will perform well at keeping out water as it seems to be well sealed but time will tell!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings I used this connector to join 2.5mm² 3 core Arctic flex and I was not impressed. The 3-pole terminal block internals of this 3 way connector are the same as the in-line TeeTube (Scewfix Product Code: 92911) which works very well, however you are connecting half as much again copper conductor (and thus Live, Return and Earth copper sheathing) with the 3 way without any allowance for this in its design, because, as I say, it uses the same 3-pole terminal block internals as the in-line Teetube (2 way) connector, which I would recommend. If I had used it to connect 0.75mm² or 1.5mm² 3 core maybe it would have perform better, but I was not, and in the specification it says it can except 4mm² . Personally, I doubt this claim very much. My requirements of this installation did not allow for the use of a Wiska IP66 / IP67 Weatherproof Junction Box, which Screwfix use to do, or Screwfix's current offering, the BG Nexus 4-Pole Junction Box, (Product Code: 33518). If you need to connect round 2.5mm² 3 core flex or higher in a 3 way configuration I suggest you try and use one of the aforementioned products rather than the 3 way Teetube IP68 3-Pole T-Splitter.
