Hilka Pro-Craft Stud Extractor Set 8 Pcs is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Smaller size not so good The larger sizes seem to work well they do what they are supposed to, but the smaller sizes such as #1 and #2 are not very good at all ,they do not have the strength or durability they should have as they snapped under a small amount of pressure

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough tool for a tough job Purchased these to remove an extremely stubborn bold - so stubborn it broke one of my old set. This one got a real hold and removed it without issue. Mind you, it was such a good hold it took a bit of getting out of what was left of the bolt. Given the price of these they were excellent value! Just the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from just the job great piece of kit for the price.. some numpty had overtightened a wheel bolt on daughters car. tried the usual hammering a socket on and that didnt work. drilled out head to 10mm and used the 10mm stud extractor in the kit...took it steady but after 15mins the stud finally gave in. money well spent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toy tools.........Rubbish Needed to get a couple of car wheel bolts out that had snapped. Drilled them out to 6mm and tried the 4th smallest, as other reviewers have noted the square end is too small and wrong shape and impossible to get any leverage. Gave up drilled the holes to 8mm and tried the next size up, fashioned something to go over the end so I could get a small bar on it and it snapped within 5 seconds of it biting. Waste of time and money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from did it extract?? bought these to extract a bolt from an aluminium engine block. the broken bolt was not corroded or cross threaded. Used the biggest extractor i could....snapped off. now in a worse corner than i was before. very, very poor quality. should have stopped when i saw the end of the extractor was losing it thread immediately after i put it in. would recommend you avoid this product

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wary! Bought to remove an inaccessible stud in a van turbo, very wary of doing further damage. Advised drilling sizes would have been helpful. Had good quality tap wrenches available but unable to turn smaller extractors due to inadequate square drive on extractor. Not convinced of quality I didn’t risk increasing torque in fear of tool breaking in the turbo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of kit The wannabe F1 pit crew at a local tyre fitters not only managed to damage my locking wheel bolts and key nut, but also did not tell me. Six months down the line, when the car needed a new clutch, garage had difficulty removing the wheel, leaving me with the three remaining bolts to deal with. Drilled the bolt working up from 4mm to 10mm, taking frequent breaks to avoid overheating the bolt and drill bits. Finally tapered the hole slightly and used the No#6 extractor, and your mother has a brother called Robert - bolt came out. Tips for use - drill as large a hole in the bolt as you can, so you can use the sturdiest extractor for the job. When screwing in the extractor keep it as straight to the shank of the bolt as possible.and give it a tap with each turn. Once it has bitten, use a large adjustable spanner or stilson to turn. Marked down slightly, because of the square, rather than hexagonal, ends of the extractors.
