Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value, packs a punch. USE TACWISE STAPLES !!!!! I had a headache with this on initial purchase. The staples I ordered first were the cheaper Stanley ones, but with a size that matched those stated within the specs on this website. DO NOT USE THESE. They felt tight putting them in and jammed in really hard after pushing in the slider. So tight they didn't even make it to the end so couldn't be fired. So only use a staple that will slide in very freely. Luckily this stapler has a neat opening ability giving you full access to clear out jams. I ended up buying the dearer TACWISE staples, which do fit. And work well. I've used a number of other manual staple guns, and this one has power. It punches into timber and hardboard with no problem. It has a very solid feel to it's construction. Feels it will last. Only had a few hours solid use. No jams or issues at all (after it's initial problem).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of few canvas framing Purchased this product to frame a canvas painting purchased on holiday. I didn’t want to spend much knowing I’m unlikely to use it on a similar project. When I collected the product a staff member kindly corrected my staple choice as they didn’t fit this tool, which saved me serious time - thanks. I built a customised softwood frame and this gun nailed the canvas with pure ease. I would estimate one in twenty staples didn’t go quite to plan, but probably more because of the difficulty of the task in hand. I found the gun easy to use but my thirteen year old son was unable to supply the power required to fire it to help, even when using two hands and he’s a fairly physical lad. It’s user friendly (if you have the strength) and easy to remove jams and load new staples. I look forward to finding other tasks to use it on in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement Bought as a replacement for a branded staple which was worse than useless. So far this hasn't let me down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good..... Bought this as a stopgap as I lost my Arrow stapler that I have owned for 30 years. This unit did less then 10 staples before packing up. Looking at the mechansim there is far too much plastic so I can't see any decent life expectancy. Will be returning and paying more for Arrow unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unwieldy Purchased to attach chicken wire to a frame. The handle lever grip is very wide making it uncomfortable to use, it is heavy and in order to make staples fire the entire flat length of the gun needs to be pressed against a flat surface to exert enough pressure. As a consequence it cannot be used in awkward spaces or short lengths making its use limited and cumbersome. I am used to using tools but this soon made my hand ache. Screw fix only sell large packs of staples making a moderately sized project expensive. For me a bad purchase as it was not fit for purpose. Only plus, no misfires.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good stapler but... Bought this to staple on a replacement bike seat cover. There's nothing wrong with the stapler, its pretty good..but just so you know.. it and probably most others on here, won't punch through the plastic seat on a motor bike. It's fine for normal jobs, just not that one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reasonably priced stapler Firstly, thanks to helpful staff at Altrincham branch. Stapler functions well, so good value at a reasonable price

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok but no Rexel Needed to retain some insulation in the loft, my Rexel was elsewhere so bought this and whilst it did the job it wasn't a patch on the Rexel. Ideal if you just want to do a bit of stapling but as they say. You gets what you pay for...........
