Stanley Clamping Mitre Box is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mitre as well but it! Purchased this Stanley mitre box to replace some beading around a shed window frame and to cut some mdf architrave. The build quality is good as to be expected with Stanley tools. I liked the fact you could clamp it to a table or workbench to secure it whilst in use with g clamps or you can screw it down as another option. Satisfied with my purchase and would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mitre box of Tricks bought this to cut some corner angles in some coving. Got some other jobs to do soon so will come in handy. It's a great piece of kit, lightweight strong and fits great on my B & D workbench.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just enough for the job Paid for itself for the one off skirting and arcitrave job however lost so much plastic from using new saw it no longer serves a purpose. Make sure the saw is long enough to use the 45 degree cuts gap had to buy another saw which was longer with fine cut teeth. Just sad to watch more plastic dust coming out of it than mdf. Did the job but will get robust steel next time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexible Mitre Box I bought this mitre box for 127mm coving. I needed to cut internal angles at 90 (2x45) degree and 45 degree (2x22.5). The plastic construction is good enough and the saw guides allow consistent cuts time-and-again. I found the peg & hole design allowed the coving to be positioned and fixed at different heights. For me this was a useful feature when trying to compensate for slightly out-of-square walls. There are no instructions and so if you have not cut coving before then remember to position the face that will touch the wall (not ceiling) nearest to you....and also practice on spare pieces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bit of kit Good bit of kit, the pegs make locking a skirting board in place easy. Only think I'd like is if it were a little higher for large skirts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good features but flawed The 45 degree side cut like you use for skirting corners lacks support allowing excessive flex and wear of the cheap plastic mitre. Its also annoying that it lacks a reverse side cut at the opposite end meaning you have to unclamp, turn the block around, reclamp and then do the cut. This is anoying when you're busy doing a load of skirting, particularly when they sacrificed the available space to add a holder for the featured locking cam system. To summarise, one untested but smart looking feature added, at the cost of the basic side cut and rigidity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mitre box Spot on and sturdy, thought it might be a bit flimsy but it's not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor Have always thought Stanley made good products, this is cheap thin plastic and having used it I wish I had not waisted my money. It flexed in use, the saw gaps are too wide and way overpriced.
