Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spax wood screws Have been using these screws for years, they never seem to let you down. They are not cheap but you do get what you pay for. I have purchased cheaper screws in the past and they have snapped when screwing the screw into the timber and are put under a lot tension.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply superb Spax screws are a perfect and positive example of getting what you pay for. I work a lot with iroko timber and these are the only screws I've found that don't shear the head and consistently take hold at the start. I won't and don't use anything else for working with hardwood.
