Soldering Iron 230V 40W is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 86.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Used once. Bought to solder up some tagged rechargeable batteries in a power pack. It did the job ok, heating up quickly and produced ok joints - BUT by the time I'd finished all 32 connections the tip was completely worn away. Would need to have a good supply of replacement tips on hand if using this iron regularly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the money I was in a bit of a hole as my iron packed up and saw this... It's good value for money, heats up quickly and light to use but lightness makes it feel a little flimsy and after 15 minutes of using I noticed it had bent (the last 10 minutes was plastic welding ) Im not giving it a 5 simply for that reason I don't know how long it will last but it's cheap enough not to worry

Rated 1 out of 5 by from total junk wouldnt tin and tip disintegrated on first use.turn black within 20 minutes. im done with screwfix this seems to be standard now whether its usb mains sockets that dont charge or caulk that cracks after application without painting over.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from False Economy Awful soldering iron. It might be cheap, but that's false economy. I've used a number of irons over the years - this one is probably the worst of the lot. Don't bother with this one in my view.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth buying. Having purchased cheap soldering irons in the past, I found the tips weren’t very good at heating up or being tinned. This one heated up fairly quickly and tinning it was successful. So overall I’m happy I took the gamble in buying another cheap soldering iron for the simple task I required it for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont bother Im only my 4th and if it wasn't for the fact i need same day i wouldnt keep buying these. They fail so quick the last one worked for max 10 min hey just stop heating up. silly me on the way to buy another though as there the only place i can get same day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money Very poor product with inconsistent heat making for impossible soldering. On start up the unit became so hot I couldn’t hold the handle so I pulled the plug out of the wall . After re inserting plug the soldering iron started to change colour with the intense heat. Left it for a while then turned it on again but to no avail , a complete waste of time and money. Took it back and got a full refund.
