SLX Compact 3-in-1 Omni-Directional Aerial is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works with Irish saorview Was not expecting much but I was surprised. 5 min after opening the box I had saorview with perfect picture and I'm not in a great reception area. Down side is you should replace the coax cable as it bad quality. Only time will tell how long this product will work for but happy so far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I expected After reading the reviews I expected great things. Having connected up the ariel in the living room and getting no signal, I went up to the bathroom and placed it on a 2m pole and held it up to the eaves. No signal at all. I returned it to Screwfix, and as always they replace it with no quibble. The second one responded the same sadly. I must be in a very poor signal area, although in the middle of a large town, as there wasn't one bad revue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as it should Purchased this aerial for my new home as there was no existing aerial and am not allowed to fit a satellite dish to the property, there are no aerials visible from my place so the word “Omnidirectional “ caught my attention, however, nowhere on the product packaging or instructions does it mention the word omnidirectional, you still need to position it towards the transmitter which when you don’t know where it is is a bit of a pain and involved numerous trips up and down the ladder and constant re tuning, but after everything it does work very well, was a bit sceptical about the quality of the supplied co-axial cable but as long as you treat it with care and don’t pull it too hard when running the cable through drilled holes etc it’s fine. Another part that initially I was worried about was the fact that the aerial has its own power supply and was concerned about how to position the transformer etc close enough to the aerial but like a satellite dish the aerial gets its power through the co-axial so the power inserter can be indoors with the TV. Slightly over priced for what it is and have seen similar units a lot cheaper. Reliability is yet to be tested or proven which is why I only gave 4 stars, but so far it’s doing its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunned!! Absolutely stunned by this product. Bought it thinking 'it won't work' but will give it a try before I spend big and have a new Ariel fitted. Easy to assemble with good instructions I thought I would just assemble and give it a try before I got it outside on the wall, so I just laid it on the sideboard. Pressed the time button and hey presto, 138 channels including HD!!!! from the sideboard!!! Most impressed couldn't recommend more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great directional Aerial Bought this Aerial as our old was had had it, decided to put it in loft as other people had said it was ideal for loft and low and behold it worked brilliant first time, so easy to install, basically just plug into electrics and put Aerial coax to an Aerial amplifier that we purchased from screwfix a few years ago and bobs your uncle it was all sorted. Only down side was the coax cable provided with the directional Aerial was of poor quality. Have only put 3 stars for reliability as have only purchased the product recently so not sure how reliable it will be, but so far so good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 4 a lower ground flat This aerial provides a top notch quality image. I live in a lower ground flat with a south facing garden and i'm getting 118 channels including the 5 HD channels (BBC, ITV etc.). I live within 10 miles radius of the Crystal Palace transmitter I installed the aerial at a height of 2 meters (7 foot) and my flat is surrounded by some trees and high buildings. Installation is straight forward even for a novice DIY-er Very impressed indeed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You don't get what is pictured I read the reviews and it looked like a smart unit. Being a bit of a bargain hunter I looked online at other aerials like this and found only one other. Elsewhere I found same spec etc but up to 30% cheaper, however I chose this one because of the neat, white, power inserter - not the ugly, industrial, bare metal one the other one had in its image. I booked a day off work to fit it and purchased it in the shop. When I opened it I found the exact same unit, complete with the ugly bare metal power inserter, as the 'much cheaper elsewhere' one. I kept it because I had already booked a day off work and the cheaper ones would take at least a day to deliver. The actual aerial itself is very easy to install and it works really well. Reception is fantastic and it is a smart looking thing. Before I installed it I connected it up indoors and from the ground floor living room I checked reception. It was fantastic, and that was indoors. The only issue I have found with the quality is the cable itself. I attached it to the existing cable to pull it through the cavity to the loft, ensuring smooth joint with no snags. When pulling it through, without a lot of strain, it snapped. The plastic cabling had just snapped (leaving the copper core exposed)and I lost around 2 metres of cable. To summarise, you don't get what is pictured - you get a black power supply and an uncovered, ugly metal, power inserter. You can get exactly the same product cheaper, though you have to wait for delivery. If you need to pull the cable through a wall or any distance be prepared to buy a new cable (knowing what i know now i would have invested in a better quality cable before I started) The actual unit is great. Reception is fantastic. It's aesthetically pleasing to look at too. I'm not disappointed in the product, just Screwfix themselves for having the wrong product image there. It's not like buying nails, something like this needs an accurate description and photograph.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from “Impressive, Most Impressive.” I needed a TV aerial that was small and unobtrusive, due to the fact that my property has overhead mains supply. The reason for choosing this product was because it fitted the specifications and size that I required. Furthermore, the only location that I had at my disposal to install the product, was close to the point where the overhead main supply is attached to my home. At first, I was very reluctant to go ahead with the purchase of this product, for the following reasons: 1. This type of aerial always had bad reviews, due to poor performance. However, I noted that this product had an inbuilt amplifier (in the mushroom shaped-plastic dome), which is powered by an AC/DC voltage unit. 2. The location for the installation point is very close to the overhead mains supply (with associated strong magnetic fields), which might interfere with the performance of this product. In view of the above concerns, I finally decided to purchase the product, in order to give it a try. I fixed the aerial support bracket on the wall and then mounted and secured the dome aerial on top of the bracket. Prior to securing the dome aerial, I placed on top of the dome aerial my Iphone (which has a compass app). I then checked on Google the precise bearing for the TV transmitter in Sudbury, Suffolk, which was 168.o I then completed the installation by drilling a hole through the wall (with a drill bit that I also purchased from Srewfix) and then connected the coaxial to the aerial and single gang TV wall mount socket box. I then connected the coaxial cable lead to the TV and wall mount socket box. Turned on the TV and started the retune procedure. To my amazement.....BINGO.......242 channels came up on the screen menu with 100% signal quality and signal strength ranging from 75% to 100%. In the words of DARTH VADER: “Impressive, Most Impressive.”
