Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cannot do 38mm pipes Bought specifically to get a clean cut on a 38mm waste pipe. Didn't even get near to cutting it. Waste of money

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Value pipe cutter Cutter performs well however you can nip your skin if not careful when performing a cut.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Timesaver but awkward handles Needed if you are doing a lot of cutting, and saves your time. I found it very hard to start a cut on Flo-plast. For 32mm pipe, even my big paws could not get round the end of the handles for full leverage. Helps if you can rotate the pipe initially to score the surface, but you can't always reach round to do that. Even after reading the warnings in other reviews, I managed to pinch my finger in the handle and rip skin off. Recommend gloves or black tape at the base of your index finger.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pipe Cutter Far superior to my previous method of cutting plastic pipe with a hacksaw. Makes a smooth accurate cut without the need for deburring. Much to early to comment on reliability & I am not sure how many cuts the blade will make before it needs replacing but so far very happy with this tool..

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They bite I had a mixed experience with these. Cutting 25mm waste pipe, they went through with a bit of encouragement and quite a lot of pressure. Then I used them on an MDPE water main, which they chopped through far easier than I expected. Unfortunately, the handle design is a trap for the unwary, and pinched the base of my index finger hard enough make a nasty cut. So, 5 stars for MDPE cutting performance, 4 stars for smallish waste pipe, and zero stars for carving a chunk out of me. Average for all categories, 3 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid buy These aren't the cheapest plastic pipe cutters on the market but you can tell that. They are solidly built and have a good feel in the hand. I had previously purchased some from somewhere else and quickly returned them as they crushed the pipe, not the problem with these. They cut through the pipe with not problem, my only wish is they had a ratchet system to help with the cutting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor design Initially seem like good cutters, however now put aside to throw away or return to screwfix. They only really work on PEX tube - polyb. tube is too flexible and the cutters just squash the tube and deform it. However, the main problem is the handle design which perhaps because the handle is (uncomfortably) narrow, manages to repeatedly very painfully trap a bit of skin on my hand as they close. Interesting because as soon as you pick them up you will notice the mean narrow thin handle which is the source of the problem...
