Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used for toilet Continuous blocking of the toilet by my teenage kids that had to be taught again how to wipe their bum and not use half a toilet roll each time, well it happened again this morning. Found this on the Screwfix website, reviews read well although for use with bath and sink drains a few posts were about using it in the toilet. So click and collect back home and within 10 seconds the toilet was free from the blockage. So sorry for the long winded review but well, without the story you couldn't imagine my frustration from yet another blocked toilet and hours trying to shuve coat hangers and hoses down the loo, but with this 10 seconds and it was sorted - strangely feeling excited now that I have it in my shed ready for the next toilet blockage :-D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unblocked the Loo Seems well put together and the best method seems to be just to push and pull the full length repeatedly. All of it disappeared into the toilet bowl, and a few minutes work cleared the problem. Very effective and great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drain Cleaner Had a completely blocked sink in bathroom, no water at all getting out. Tried a couple of goo busters but to no avail. Used this screw in type thingy and it pulled out some grot. Then used a rubber plunger and it cleared. Saved me lifting lino, plyboard and floorboards to get at drain. Perhaps could do with the screw end having a sort of hook thing to grab more muck. Overall, fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless Will not go round bends in traps , the sole puropse it is supposed to do , will need to remove bath panel and then the trap to clear blockage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for unblocking drains I've had a problem with a slow draining bath for about 9 months now. I have tried every drain cleaning fluid known to mankind and even tried with a jetwash (went horribly wrong and i ended up soaked). I was looking for a plunger on the Screwfix website (blocked toilet) and came across this. I thought id give it one last go for the bath. Low and behold i put it in and gave it a turn, When it came out it had a wonderful chuck of bath sponge attached to the end. I went back in for another go and found the plastic head from a water bottle and the plastic sheath from a disposable razor. Needless to say once i had removed these items the bath drained perfectly. If anyone was wondering how such items got down the plug we have push pop plugs which you can fully remove for quicker draining. My advice, leave them in place and wait the extra minutes for it to drain normally to avoid a situation similar to mine. If you do however find yourself in my situation then buy this pipe and drain cleaning coil.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Damaged my toilet Bought this and not only did it not do much to solve the problem, it also scratched the bottom of my toilet! The metal fixing below the spring will snag naturally as the pipe curves upwards from the bottom of your toilet so if you push this in and out a few times it may well damage your porcelain, would suggest you cover it in electric tape before you use it!!! No warning of this on the packaging....
