Pegler Pump Valves 22mm x 1½" is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Want no leaks - "Don't skimp"! Fitted cheaper gate pump valves in the past and 80% of the time they were problematic - badly cast + inferior quality and leaked! These don't. For peace of mind fit these and safely forget about them...and if/when your pump fails - these won't! Plus they are made in the U.K (speaks for itself!!!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from replacing ancient gate valves Pegler make quality items.I am not an employee. see dimensions below Ball Valves give better performance over time and double seated so tight shutoff. face to face 63mm valve connection 1.1/2" BSP ctr to top of spindle 30 mm outlet 22mm compression

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ball Valve v Gate Valve Just an advisory note to be aware that the advantages of a (full bore) ball valve are that it is 1/4 turn and has low delta P. Disadvantages are difficulty curing spindle gland leaks and valve seats are soft so will not last forever. Gate valves have metal seats and a "backseat" to allow you to change spindle seal packing if wound tightly anticlockwise.. However, they need excercising oaccasionally and have higher delta P

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy the best I bought a cheaper set too as I wasn't sure which to fit. Having looked at then both the Peglar ones look far better quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality valves These ball valves are much better than the old gate valve types that seam to always stick and then never really seal well. Always used these and save yourself future hassle

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good valves Smooth operation when in use. Just make sure you line them up so they are easily accessible for testing once fitted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality fittings These fitting are a quality bit of kit. Well worth paying the extra for the pair. Rather than 2x singles which would have been cheaper. Easy to fit. What more is there to say.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ball pump valve Had one of these installed for about a year. Turned the valve off to do some pump maintenance. then turned it back on and the valve spindle started leaking. Unlike a gate valve there is no way of adjusting the spindle.
