Victorian Mortice Knobs Pair Polished Brass 51mm is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good handle Let down by screws Poor design for screwing to doors, the screws have to be screwed in at an angle. However this is made worst by the very poor quality of the screws, which can bend and snap even under hand pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Victorian Mortice Knobs easy to fit , look good and require very little maintenance. once in place a quick rub with a soft cloth, with a hint of Brasso keeps them gleaming and a small squirt of lubricant into latch once a year and jobs a good yin :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Knobs fine but not sprung These seem ok but when putting on a mortice lock theres no spring for the latch to return, if you dont lock the door and its in the open position the door swings open!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best but useable. I bought four pairs of these handles but only managed to get two working pair from them. They look good but are mechanically very poorly made with no quality control, I took the faulty ones back and went through the stores stock to make up another three pair, this left all the rest of the stores stock as faulty. There were two problems, first the shaft didn't fit properly as the center had not been machined correctly. Secondly some of the knobs were very tight to turn and some were loose and sloppy, as they seem to be adjusted by adding or removing washers it was an easy but time wasting operation to swap around washers between the knobs to get the best fit, but you will need a pair of circlip pliers to do so. I also greased the washers as I could see the potential for them to wear swiftly. Having said all that I would urge anyone buying these to ask the assistant to bring out all their stock so you can check or reject them. It's important to have these not too tight as they are not sprung and so rely on the mortise to do that job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap, low quality They're quite stiff to turn unless you oil them, and have nbo return spring. So no use unless you have a really strong latch spring. The machining of the knob is not accurate and the hole is not at 90 deg, so it's impossible to line them both up and have them turn freely. The screw holes are not angled to allow screws to seat flat, so you have sharp screw edges sticking out. The supplied screws are very soft and some were malformed, so basically unusable.
