Milwaukee M12CH-0 FUEL 1.7kg 12V Li-Ion RedLithium Cordless Brushless SDS Plus Drill - Bare is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably unique I originally bought the Milwaukee 12V SDS drill to augment my 110volt powered drills. This one was a present for my son who is a sparks. I also gave him a Milwaukee 12v screwdriver and these are now his go-to tools for first and second fix. Other sparks in his company also use this combination. PROS Powerful – The spec says a maximum 13mm core drill. I have used this with an Erbauer 152mm (yes 152mm in diameter) core drill to cut a hole for a drain pipe through a standard brick wall. It has an advantage over 110volt SDS drills in that it can be used on its hammer setting with these core drills. I guess the thing does not provide enough energy to damage the core drill but it cuts much faster. I have tried this on a 110volt drill and the threaded bush parts company with the cutting cylinder. I also use it with my Bosch Progressor hole saws up to 110mm dia. Let the tool do the work and it does just fine. Sturdy – it’s had two significant drops from a ladder (about 2.5metres, one onto concrete) and still works just fine. Weight – This is where it really scores particularly for any work at height. It can easily be used single-handed allowing the other hand to hold on to the ladder, step ladder etc. It can be held in a pouch off your belt and worn all day without strain. Clutch – Not sure how this works but I have had no problems if the drill bit stalls when drilling - particularly important with core drills. Stamina – When drilling a lot of holes it does get hot but this has no effect on performance. Longevity – I’ve only been using it for two years (still in warranty) and have had no problems at all. It just works like you’d expect a pro tool to work. Versatility – I have used it with ordinary twist drills (no hammer) using a plug-in Jacobs chuck, SDS masonry and core drills, the Progressor holesaws and diamond drills, It just works. Size – It’s small. Possibly the smallest, lightest SDS drill on the market but it gets the job done. CONS Very occasionally it would be nice to have a non-rotating hammer function for a bit of chiselling. Given its energy rating this is probably a step too far. That’s it. As they say, it does what it says on the can (it doesn’t actually come in a can though).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Milwaukee M12 sds fuel Great little sds drill, use mainly for 7mm holes and 51mm hole saw. The drill is powerful enough for what I require being a plumber. I use 18/24v drills for more heavy duty drilling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent lightweight SDS This tiny tool is brilliant; no heavier and not much bigger than a combi drill yet it punches through masonry far better than you would expect. Don't expect it to do everything a larger sds will; you won't be corehole-ing, chasing, chiseling or drilling 25mm holes through hard brick, but for its intended purpose of 5.5mm rawlplug holes up to maybe 16 or 20mm in a pinch this is brilliant. Especially useful if you are working overhead or just drilling a lot of small holes and don't want to cart about a heavier SDS to use only 5% of its capability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 12v sds Great little buy, got sick of using 110 leads everywhere and using my combi. It's unbelievably light which is a plus when drilling multiple holes for wall mounts and brackets when doing containment. Best to use with a 4amp or 6amp battery as the 2amp can manage to do about 20ish holes using a 7mm bit. It may not be the most powerful, but its consistent and for how light and compact it is it gets the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faultless Absolutely spot on great for using up ladders, mainly use it for drilling 6mm holes for wall plugs, used it a couple of times to drill 16mm holes through brick no hassle with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good reliable drill One of the best tools that ive ever bought very reliable and very lightweight still packs a punch i have the 18v version too and would recommend this one over the 18v although the 18v is also very good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Punches above it's Weight Don't be fooled by it's size. This SDS drill punches well above it's weight. It packs a punch. Was installing fixtures & fittings in our new HMO and this unit made light work for jobs I usually need my 18V unit for. Dust free drilling as I used it with my Milwaukee M12 HEPA HammerVac. Highly Recommended
