Makita GA9050/2 2000W 9" Angle Grinder 240V is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good. 4 stars for Features as I would've preferred to adjust the guard a little more than the angle it stops at. 4 Stars also for reliability as I've only just bought it and used once so can't really comment... But cut trough a piece of York stone for an hearth like a hot knife through butter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from proper grinder Great bit of kit. Plenty of power, robust and simple. Great value too although I can't see much difference between this one and orange bodied makita which is £20 less. All you need from a 9 inch grinder. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power requirements Although the machine works 100%, when I ran the machine on a trip set at 16 amps the grinder on start-up would trip the ring main. I changed the ring main over to a 32 amp trip and it runs perfectly. I tested the grinder and found on surge at start up it required just over 16 amps. Nothing wrong with the grinder but be warned it requires more than a 16 amp trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makita angle grinder A very good tool, have only used it for a short time but it feels comfortable to use and safe

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful but lacks features Excellent powerful motor that makes light work of cutting concrete blocks with a diamond blade - I had an old Ryobi budget one that only lasted 2 days of dusty cutting before the bearings and motor gave out. I marked it down on features as there are only the two side positions for the handle; a top one for vertical cutting would be ideal. Also, soft start would be a good addition, as there is quite a kick when she starts spinning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What, No storage box? Excellent product, does as expected, but have knocked a star off for having no storage/carrying box supplied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made a professional out of me The instructions were really clear making it very easy to assemble in a safe manner. There is very little "kick" when it starts which allows you to cut accurately. The machine feels like it is a quality product and it performs exactly as it feels. Carry out a few test cuts and quickly you will feel in control. Make sure that you wear appropriate PPE such as gloves and eye protection (both goggles and visor) .... would recommend to a friend
