Rated 5 out of 5 by from makita drywall gun Been buying these drills for a number of years now, went from hammer and nails 20 years ago to now the makita auto feed, quality bit of kit my only problem is the nose cone needs strengthening or re designing, eventually starts to spit screws or jam,I buy 2 to 3 of these a year sounds a bit extreme but I can go through 50 plus 8x4 boards a day and 2 to 3 thousand screws so generally it pays for itself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fab Been thinking about buying this for about a year. Why did i wait!!! Read the instructions, put a battery in and away i went. Nice and easy at first then after the first sheet of plasterboard I'm flying! Out of 300 or so screws only 20ish jams which are easily cleared and due to me getting carried away. I would thoroughly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Only had it a couple of days but really impressed. Same old story but wish I'd bought one years ago. All the times I spent with a plaster board on my head pushed against the ceiling while I tried not to drop screws everywhere. This makes it so easy. A sliding scale adjusts for the screw size with a fine adjustment dial for screw depth. Providing it doesn't jam on a regular basis it should pay for itself within a few days as it makes screwing boards so much quicker. Collated screws are more expensive but the increased speed makes it worth it. Fantastic tool, just need to find a carry case now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased Had heard bad things about the Makita Collated guns - but everything else we have is Makita so took the plunge figuring if it wasn't any good it could go back. Well its arrived this morning and already we've put up 20 plaster boards with it - setting it up was relatively easy as the instructions were fairly clear. Put the first screw in tentatively and it was a bit proud. We all looked at each other and thought 'well thats not going to speed things up'. Second screw we put in we pushed it a bit harder and the screw went straight in, nice and below the surface. Did the whole sheet in about 30 seconds! So the trick is, read the manual, buy good quality screws and use a firm but strong push and off you go. Very pleased with it and its going to make jobs a lot quicker. Only thing is the listing says it comes with a carry case and it doesn't!
