Rated 2 out of 5 by from Chimney bracket, awful. It said chimney fixing kit on the box, complete with lashing kit. Got upto the chimney, naturally it started to rain, opened the box, low and behold, it was a chimney bracket ok, but the bag of fixings were for a wall bracket! Returned to terra firma and back to Screwfix for a swap. Back up to the chimney, now with an icy gale to accompany the rain. Yes it fitted the chimney ok, but it is flimsy beyond belief, I don't think it will last more than a couple of winters. Also it would not be any good using a straight mast with this bracket. As the bracket is small, a straight mast will foul the chimney brick overhang. A cranked mast is needed with this bracket, (not sold by Screwfix). As said by another reviewer, there are no washers in the kit, four are required for the mast clamps. Fortunately I had a spare cranked mast. From yesterday's experience and from other reviews, I shall purchase a second chimney kit to fit in tandem with the first one, or more likely get a better kit elsewhere. Annoying, I didn't read the reviews first! Overall, a bad experience and poor product, don't buy this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheap kit but it did the job I purchased two of these kits as I have a couple of aerials on one pole. Having one fixing kit on the pole meant it was a little top heavy, so I put two fixing kits on which made it nice and strong. The one thing I couldn't see the point of was the plastic loops. I put the wire around them, as per the instructions, but as soon as I tightened the wire around my stack the plastic split. I was still nice and strong so didn't make a difference to the final result. Still worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just the job Used to replace an existing fixing kit that was starting to fail. Found it easy to fit, plenty of adjustment for tension, easy to follow instructions (if needed) Great value for the price, hopefully it should last a while.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor First real wind we have had since I put this up and the bracket has twisted, leaving my ariel at an angle of 45 degrees. Metal must be very poor. Would not recommend at all. Got to go back on the roof, after the wind drops, and sort it out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bracket Twisted in Wind I had no trouble fitting this chimney aerial lashing kit but after a couple of months the pressed metal bracket began to twist (due to wind pressure) causing the aerial to lean over. A solution would be to use two of these bracket kits lashed one above the other with a longer metal pole clamped onto both to provide the necessary rigidity. Other alternatives would be a more 'heavy duty' bracket lashing kit or (as B & Q seem to recommend) a sturdy wall aerial bracket screwed onto the chimney.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not too bad Little bit cheap but then it's a cheap product! I'm not sure how long it will last but it's better than one which has rusted solid like the one I replaced. Time will tell.
