IP55 Enclosure Grey 270 x 180 x 135mm is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK box but lid fixings poor The box is well made and serviceable apart from the lid and its fixings which do not help ensure a water tight seal. The four screws securing the lid are self tappers and require considerable force to screw them into the bosses on the box. Hence there is no "feeling" when closing the lid on to its rubber seal to help ensure weather tightness. This box is let down by this poor manufacturing detail, no doubt aimed at cheapening the cost of production at the cost of functional quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and waterproof Used this box so I can have my xmas lights outside.... strong sturdy box, use a little care when drilling the cut outs but apart from that it’s solid! Highly recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good This a good box for the price:- Pro's-Good size & Easy to drill, Cons- self tapping screws for cover so don't know if it would be durable enough(time will tell) Needs a flat smooth surface to fix to else it will deform and cover won't fit to make a seal (needs mounting on a back board for a brick wall mounting) No cable entry seals supplied with box

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap and fairly nasty The plastic is very thin and brittle, I managed to crack it drilling out the inserts. Box distorted with mounting and glands so much so the lid wouldn't fit properly. Screw heads are made of cheese also. Guess it's cheap but if you want a proper job get a better one. I really regret not doing so and when I have time I'm going to replace it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Used to house a network switch outside. You need to buy also M20 glands to be able to insert cables. Was able to fix to a pole using cable ties.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good little box Sturdy little box, easy to drill and holesaw through without the plastic splitting or cracking. Does what it needs to do for a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IP55 Enclosure great size This product is very sturdy and easy to work with. Relatively easy to drill for cabling, this box offers great space for encasing LED outdoor transformers and so forth. Very few enclosures offer the mix of space/size at this price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well-priced & easy to mount We use a lot of these enclosures when installing networks on farms. These house all of our plugs and adaptors. We can have the enclosures drilled and mounted in seconds. My only criticism of them is that the screws in the lid are soft and its easy to destroy the screw head with an electric screwdriver or driver bit on a drill.
