Hilka Pro-Craft Brake Caliper Rewind Tool is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well on VW Golf This is a great piece of kit which worked well on my old VW Golf Mk5. I made some minor adjustments with a hacksaw and was then able to wind the piston right back in to its minimum setting. Could never have done the job without this took. My earlier review didn't get past the Screwfix moderators - probably because I added a you tube link where I filmed the whole job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great value if it fits Didn't fit my Hyundai but can easily adapt it to use on the front brake pistons. The rear pistons need to be wound back but the lug holes didn't match the tool's lugs. Way round it was to dump the tool and push the long nose pliers (75226) into the lug holes in the piston face and turn it by hand applying a little bit of pressure. Worked remarkably well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adaptor Plate Pin Dimensions Bought to use on rear calipers on Saab 2006 9-3 convertible. DID NOT FIT - although it said suitable for 'Saab' on back of packet. Using a Vernier Caliper it gives Maximum width size of the 2 pins that I've measured are - Option a) = 39mm (33mm centres) Option b) = 29mm (23mm centres). Pin dia. = 6mm Approx' sizes only. NB: Packaged in one of those heat sealed packets that needs to be cut open - hopefully I will get a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cracking tool It's always a joy when a new tool works right, first time and with no fuss at all. I've only used it the once but it seems very well made hence 5 stars on the reliabilty score too. Mine's a Mk4 Ibiza, so gotta assume most if not all VAG Rear Calipers catered for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No good for Mazda3 2013 onward The tool is supposed to be OK for Mazda calipers but the adapter 2 (for Mazda) was too widely spaced for the rear caliper piston of my Mazda 3 Sport Nav 2.2D. It tore up the rubber gaitor. Got it to work for me by hacksawing off the two closer together pins, as if they were on the piston side of the tool. I left the other pins on, this created a flat surface, lubed the flat face and wound in the piston sucessfully. The adapter plate could be doing with being thiner. It is too thick if your piston is well out of the cylinder.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rewind Tool Clearance problem When I tried to use this tool on the rear brakes of my Ford S-max it wouldn't fit until I punched out the redundant pins on the reversible drive plate! After that there was then sufficient room to fit the tool between the piston and the calliper forks. The tool then worked OK.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy brake pad replacement Brought this to replace the pads on the back of a ford kuga. Had to file a bit off the pins that go in to the piston to make it fit correctly but after that it worked a treat would definitely recommend for someone doing the job at home.
