Flomasta PTFE Liquid 50g is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toolbox Essential Teflon tape is good. Liquid gasket simply better. I use this when working on ships. No better proving ground for anything...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant This stuff is marvellous, always beats tape never have a problem with leaks with this stuff, only niggle is it’s pricey for the amount you get.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to apply, CoSHH data sheet is to the book Easy to apply, but can't find an average cure time, or how long before putting under hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. This means I can't give an higher rating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A nightmare on 3/4 inch brass This stuff starts to go off within 2-4 seconds when screwing up clean, new brass ! I am a pretty experienced DIY guy, with an Apprenticeship many moons ago. I also tried a test piece re undoing a fully cured fitting. I reckon the brass fitting would be scrap, such was the torque required to loosen the fitting off. Recommended but with considerable reservations, as above

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product but check amount As a previous review stated great product but boy what an oversized bottle! Necessity or duplicitous selling ploy.... You be judge. It is quite viscious but still think you get approx ¹/⁴ bottle at best. Myself I'd rather have a smaller bottle and know exactly what I'm getting for my money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works Tried PTFE tape on my outside tap that was leaking with a dual connector attached. This liquid is easier to apply and more effective than PTFE tape. No more leaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Positive but no going back Works brilliantly does exactly what it says on the bottle. However make sure everything is in the correct place before attempting to tighten anything. Once this stuff sets very difficult to get a part. As with all plumbing and water pipes preparation is everything. Make sure all threads are clean and free of grit and particular matter. Clean tail ends with wire wool prior to starting. When applying to threads clean threads with a clean wire brush. Avoid applying to threads with compression fittings just apply to the tip of the pipe and around the olive. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone but please note above.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never use tape again! I've never been a fan of PTFE tape (too fiddly, time-consuming & imprecise!) so have used this for years now! Always use on any compression fitting (new or old) during assembly / reassembly & have never once experienced a leak! Fantastic stuff! Just buy some. You'll never regret it & never use PTFE tape again!
