Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use and sturdy I would recommend this item for light to medium applications. For plasterboard walls it is effective but you may need to drill a pilot hole is you are not sure where the supporting batons are behind the plasterboard. Where you are just tapping into a sheet of plasterboard, the screw fitting is self tapping and goes in easily. You need to get it right first time though or else the fitting will continue turning and gouge a hole in the wall. This will make the fitting useless and you will have to start again. I use the old "measure twice and drill once approach" and that helps! In our house they have been used for hanging pictures and light wall cabinets. Anything load bearing will require something like a wall anchor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well Work well, used a pilot hole as I ripped the point off a couple of times if I just tapped them in and then screwed them. Pilot hole also stops them walking or going in at an angle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not sure what the fuss is abou Read the excellent reviews and thought these would be just that... Excellent. Couldn't have been more wrong. As soon as I try to screw the supplied matching screws in, the whole thing spins and pulls itself out. Absolutely useless...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good idea, rubbish execution As other negative reviews, not had any luck with these. You just end up with a load of big holes in the wall where they refuse to grip and continue driving in to the plaster. Terrible product. Not sure how people have a good experience, they must like having bare walls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for job These plasterboard screws are perfect for fixing anything into plasterboard (hollow walls). I mounted my TV onto the wall in a matter of minutes. They are strong, fix tight and will be using them all over my house. One tap into the wall, then a Cross head screw driver to screw in, then normal screw (supplied) into fixing!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok if you cheat I've used a couple of boxes of 35mm size of these and loved them. No problems. However with these 50mm ones, the screw jams on the point of the plug and it starts to turn and crumble the plasterboard. I've found the workaround is to poke the hole with a bradawl as I usually do, then insert the plug and partly screw in. After 3-4 turns, unscrew & remove it and snap off the point with pliers then reinsert and screw home. PITB but it works!
