Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great router for the money Having used bigger brand names in the past I was a bit sceptical that this would be up too the job for the cost of less than £100, I was pleasantly surprised by the power and overall feel that this router offered. In the last few weeks I've fitted twenty hardwood fire doors, routing out hinges, locks and intumescent strips and it's not missed a beat. Time will tell if this is as good as it's seems but so far 10/10

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk don't waste your money Bought this for routing out worktops.. It will be going back as when you lock it off at a depth there is still movement making it useless to anyone who wants to make anything with precision joints! Seriously would not recommend this to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Router Bought this to replace my Dewalt one. This one is more powerful and about half the weight. Definitely recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent router... needs tweaks Bought it to replace my old faithful 1/4” budget 1200w effort, works well... To start with the bellows on the stanchions don’t allow full travel so these got cut off... these are fully compressed at less than full travel of the plunge depth and so prevent it from being reached. The stanchions themselves weren’t inserted all the way into the base, easy to sort, but being new I inadvertently released the plunged base to the sound of springs going everywhere, on examination the nice machined stanchions have a groove around the base that a small allen grub screw is meant to engage with, the other leg that just stayed in was approx 8-10mm from where it should be (more or less flush with the bottom of the base) once reinserted the grub screw went in a fair way further and then positively engages with the groove instead of floating on the outer part of the stanchion, this is far more secure and is now put together as intended... I will also say this reduces plunge depth with a given length bit (not travel) also by effectively moving the router up away from the base Other than that I’ve now modified my circle cutter to fit it, and cut a few bits with it, the extra power over the old 1/4” unit is very handy when cutting birch ply and mdf also For the money once you’ve assembled it right it’s a decent tool I reckon, it does rock a bit on the stanchions if locked as it’s only one sided locking, but heyho! If I wanted mm perfect I’d have spent a good chunk more

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good basic router Does what it was bought for which was very basic wood work. Was also a replacement for the old version that was out of stock and used a £20 promotional code so a bargain

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb and highly capable Bought this after some consideration. I have previously owned a Bosch and Trend T10 router. Both are excellent routers in their own rights but came at a hefty price tag. I recently found myself needing a router and 1/2 bits to do some worktops for a friend and after buying this I seriously have to consider why I’d spend 3-4 times the amount on other brands. For a DIY enthusiast this perfectly suited my needs. I’m not suggesting it would suit the trades person for heavy everyday use but this is a well built solid piece of kit and will handle the DIY needs of most people. Also purchased some Trend 1/2 kitchen fitters bits and a trend worktop jig. Both incredibly well made and great pieces of kit. I’ll get many years of use from it for my needs. So those seeking a great sturdy router that’s well made has some good features and won’t break the bank then look no further you’ve found it
