Erbauer Diamond Tile Drill Bit 6 x 67mm is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 151.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money! Like most other working blokes, I will always try to get jobs completed as cheap as possible to save money. I bought a couple of carbide tile drills as well as this one and the erbauer drill guide. After 5 mins of using the carbide bit on porcelain tiles without much progress I decided to use the erbauer bit. It was evident that the drill would wander about so I chose to use the guide which has a suction cup to hold it in place. Within 30 mins I had drilled 12 neat holes in my newly tiled shower enclosure without any cracks or misaligned holes, bit still intact for future use. I used my 18v dewalt without any problems. Don't dip the bit in water to cool as it just clogs. Best results once the hole is started is to use at high speed. Save yourself time and stress and buy this bit and the guide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic tile drill I bought 1 of these tile drill and thought i was a bit expensive but I needed to drill approx 10 holes in porcelain tiles I bought some tungsten carbine bits and they wouldn't even touch it....i got home and used my 14.4v cordless drill and within 2 mins it had drill no problem I drilled 2 more holes with same drill but battery started to die so I used my electric bosch drill and put it on full speed the drill went throu the porcelain tile like it was going throu wood I would recommend these drills I managed all 10 holes in less than 45 mins well worth buying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 6mm bit Purchased 2 of these to drill 8 x 6mm holes in 10mm porcelain tiles. Each drill managed 2 holes before drilling speed dropped and was progressing at about 1mm every 10mins. E.g. blunt. These don’t seem good value. I could not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Porcelain Tile Drill Used several drills but this drill does the job. It NOT like a normal drill. Start it off at approx 45 degree angle lightly till it gets going, then straighten it up and away you go on fast speed. Dipped in bit of water now and again probably helped it along a bit n made it last longer. Though can be used with out. Remember. . . It's not like drilling into wood or metal. Porcelain is tough stuff so it does take time. Money well spent though. 10 / 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great drill fantastic drill bit, I bought this after reading previous reviews, although it seems expensive for one bit it drilled through porcelain tiles very quickly with no fuss I had tried a bosch blue masonry drill which started the hole but was not making much progress, bought this drill and finished drilling the holes within 10 minutes

Rated 4 out of 5 by from diamond drill bit Tried with normal tile bit first and gave up as tiles (porcelain) just broke or bit almost melted needed to get holes in to put up shower, tried these and worked wonders.(also bought the 16.5mm bit for the 15mm piping to pass through as well). used the other "tile" bits to start off accurately and score the tile before switching to these to make the holes. went through 10mm porcelain tile and 6mm ceramic tile behind it in a minute or so. Bit gets hot so keep water/ wet sponge nearby and cool it every 30 secs or so

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick.... Needed to drill ten 6mm holes into hard porcelain tiles. Ordinary drill bits didn't even make a mark and burnt out quickly. Bought this drill bit and it managed all 10 holes within an hour.I'm not sure if it will manage anymore though. I found it best to start drilling at 45degree angle then slowly straighten up as recommended by other reviewers. The drill bit seems rather expensive at first but consider the time you save and cost of ordinary drill bits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Drill Drilled 13 holes in hard black porcelain tiles and still going. My tips: mark the hole position onto masking tape, using a steel drill gauge tape this over the marked hole position to prevent slip selecting the correct hole size, start drill slow until you have a circle on the tile then select fast speed, not too much pressure let the bit work and keep dipping the drill into a cup of water, 2 mins to drill each hole, piece a cake.
