Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value tile cutter Used this on 9mm thick ceramic wall tiles and also small 15mm squared glass and stone mosaic tiles. Worked a dream on both types, pretty clean when cutting just a little spray but just placed small sponge on top of tile while passing it through. Great value for money and pretty good job for a plastic cutter

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exceptional Value for DIYer bougth this cutter as the tiles I was using were too long for the manual tile cutter. It was a simple set up, and worked perfectly. It would be a great addition to an occasional DIYer like myself .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from CHEAP AND CHEERFUL ! Bought this to cut just a few large tiles for our downstairs cloakroom. The assembly instructions aren't particularly clear but we got there in the end ! Does exactly what it's supposed to do - and in our case very well. Fortunately we cut the tiles outside, otherwise the dirty water it splashes everywhere could have been an issue. Overall, for what we paid, very happy with the product and the result. Can't talk about reliability etc. but don't see why it shouldn't suit our needs for the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better Three things stopped me from giving this cutter a better rating. The built in water reservoir is a pain. The only way to empty it when you're finished is to tip it right up on it's edge. That gets the water out but you've then to spoon out the sludge it's created. The blade guard stops you opening the water compartment fully. The cover for the compartment can be taken off quite easily though so that solves that problem. The biggest bugbear was the long tile guide. Mine has a 3mm bow in the middle so my first tile slipped under it and was spoiled. Despite that ..... find me a better cutter at the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I had hoped for. I am keen on DIY, and have carried out tiling many times using electric tile cutters in the past. On this occasion I decided to purchase a new tile cutter for myself. It is with great disappointment that I must say that this is the worst tile cutter I have used. My reasons are as follows; Plastic guide bar - This is extremely flimsy and it flexes when cutting, which leads to inaccurate cutting. The bar is held in position by tightening two thumb screws, which when tightened to extremes, still don't hold it tight. Table extension - Located by two plastic sections which pop out when pressure is put on the extension. Again, all too flexible. Blade guard - Rests on the tile, making it impossible see a line on the tile. Other cutters allow you to adjust its position.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Life Saver As a first-time tiler, I can honestly say this product saved me a LOT of frustration. After quickly realising that I was terrible at manually cutting tiles, the clean edges that I get from using this machine makes the whole ordeal worthwhile. The machine works great, but I needed to use a speed square to make sure the guide was straight when setting up for a cut. It quickly becomes messy, so keep wiping away the residue after your cut (and wear protection, so small ceramic shards don't cut your fingers!)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works very well, doesn't last! Very pleased with the operation of this machine, used it to cut a few tiles for the kitchen last year, works very well. Stored in original packaging since and motor has now burnt out after 30 seconds of using it for the second time. Very dissappointed to hear I cannot by spares too!
