Energenie MiHome Radiator Valve Kit is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Energenie etrv Bought these to pair to my existing 3rd generation nest thermostat as they are sold as working with nest after 2 days of attempting to connect the energenand nest accounts and being stuck at a spinning wheel on the allow screen I gave up. They were a problem to get to connect to the hub initially I had to set them all up in the same room as the hub I live in an average sized 3 bed semi and once they are away from the hub at the bottom of the stairs the trv’s All drop connections frequently. The biggest issue was the fact that they do what they want when they want to and the movement of the trv is ridiculously loud they move at all times of the day weather the hearing is on or off presumably because I can’t get them to pair to my nest account but they wake up the whole family throughout the night they are that loud. Needless to say they are getting returned to screwfix for a refund great idea but not so good in practice

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Urliable This has turned out to be my wort ever purchase from screwfix. From day one and a faulty hub out of the box, the whole installation has been beset with problems related to the product. I am no rocket scientist when it comes to smart technology but I do know my way around computers and networking and aspecily wi-fi installations. I now have over four hundred pounds of expensive manually operated radiator valves that only work reliably if I press the sixty minute boost on each radiator. The second hub has now decided that it no longer wants to be part of the network with the error message of “Error hub not recognised”. It says alot about a product when the manufactures actively promotes app and thiomstasts form third party's over its own products. I had one of their thermostats and guest what, it decided it didn't want to be part of the circus eather and went AWOL as well. I would welcome a response from from the manufacturer as well as Screwfix.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor performance The setting up of the system was quite quick when I had all of the parts in the same room, when I actually fitted them to the three radiators I wanted the problems then started, the lounge one works fine its only 5 metres from the hub and one wall, the two bedroom valves are a bit hit and miss they are approx ten metres from the hub but have three walls for the signal to get through, may have to spend extra money on an additional Hub, there is no open and close button in the computer software so you can prove the valve is receiving the signal, the valves are very slow to react to temperature change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive In general, this is a very good product. The good points out way the bad. Good points:- The operating of the system, once you get the hang of it, allows you to set each room within a few degrees of accuracy and can be done on your pc, laptop or phone. The valves when running are not silent but they are better than any other makes I have tried. When they are in operation its only for a few seconds. Bad points:- You have to rely on the internet and the MiHome server to be running constantly as if its not the valves stay at the last setting. The software lets you know the battery voltage of each valve but doesn't tell you when it needs to be replaced. Point of note, when installing the valves to the radiators, it does help if you learn a bit about how they work as if you fit them incorrectly they will not perform in the manor that you would expect! I myself am in the trade and got it wrong on 4 of my rads!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing The functionality was exactly what I was looking for: programmable, wifi controlled; app based control but my system of five TRVs didn't work. My experience was the same as JosHor. The behaviour was erratic and random. I returned one set which was replaced and the replacements didn't work either. It took a lot of time and effort to try to get the system to work but in the end I gave up and returned them to Screwfix for a refund. Buyers should be aware that the system is controlled by the Energenie server by commands sent over the internet so internet connection issues can affect performance, as can Energenie server relability - they had to apologise to me twice in four weeks for a server failure. Be warned;you are not buying a product but a complex system. I think local control is a much more reliable solution. The people at Energenie were nice to deal with and tried very hard to sort me out but ultimately couldn't. I think the elegant design concept outstripped Energenie's ability to deliver reliability and I don't know whether it was the hardware, the software or the communications link that let them down. Screwfix were superb; friendly, helpful people in customer services and no quibbling about returning them after six weeks of trying to make the system work. At the time I bought the system there were no reviews
