DeWalt DWE560-GB 1350W 184mm Circular Saw 240V is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Repeat Problem Purchased first saw, cut cleanly but realised that "fence guard" was not square. Did not feel inclined to bend the same as brand new. Exchanged saw, no problem, second saw has exactly the same problem. Will be exchanging again. This seems to be the same issue as experienced by others. Great shame as saw appears to cut cleanly. However gets low marks, basic problem that should not be sorted in production, expect better from DeWalt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dewalt I would recommend any product that Dewalt make as the name is the recommendation! I have bought this for my hubby as Fatgers Day pressie his face was a picture he wants a whole garage FULL of DeWalt tools as he has used lots of tools in the past but only DeWalt lasts and performs!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cuts well but with one problem Good saw cuts smoothly and cleanly. Only problem is steel guide plate is 2mm out of parallel with blade. This makes it difficult to make square cuts across boards or parallel cuts along a guide board. Check before you use it by resting the foot plate on the surface of a wide board and pressing the blade against the edge of the board. Scribe a line along the guide edge of the foot plate. Measure at both ends of the line from the edge of the board. Should be same dimension if blade is parallel to guide. Mine was 2mm out. Other reviewers seem to have had the same problem. Out of parallel blade results in blade crabbing when using foot plate edge as cutting guide and cuts are not square and cutting is not smooth operation. Contacted DeWalt for advice but nothing forthcoming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dewalt quality Good quality saw from Dewalt. Used it to build a pergola. Still going strong. I'll buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellen saw Bought this to replace a very old Black and Decker circular saw which had just worn out after 25yrs DIY use. This saw uses the same size blades as my old B & D saw so no need to purchase extra blades. De Walt saw feels pleasantly robust and certainly cuts with ease. Easy to change angle of cut and depth. Well worth the money. Hope it lasts as long as my last circular saw

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and powerfull I`m using this saw for last few days, it is light in use and has enough power to cut through full depth of the blade. Very long cord is a huge advantage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life made easier I used this saw yesterday for the first time. What a surprise it sawed a straight cut the length of a 22mm sheet of 8 * 4 in about fifteen seconds and did not feel as if I was cutting anything. I did twice as much work in the afternoon as I expected to. After using a much cheaper saw for several years I could not believe the difference. I cannot comment on reliability other than to say I would not doubt it knowing the reputation of dewalt

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast I'd never used a circular saw before I bought this one. A lot of the cheaper ones on the screwfix website also have very good reviews but I understand DeWalt to be a reputable brand that builds things to last so i went with them. The blade was easy to attach and so is the guide although i did find it hard to use the latter to get a perfectly straight cut - this could just be down to practice though. The blade height gauge is also easy to measure and adjust, and is held in place by a very solid feeling clasp, so no slips during cutting. In terms of the cut itself, i've only used it on wood so far (a few large pieces of MDF and taking the bottom 1/4" off a door) but it's been exceptional in every case. Make sure whatever you're cutting is firmly clamped etc and it will glide through it like butter. There is also an attachment to connect a vacuum hose to which looks like it would work great but i don't have a long enough hoover hose to attach to it; it's solidly constructed which is the main thing. The cord is plenty long enough but if your socket isn't that close to your work/cutting bench (i.e.: more than 3 metres away) you may need an extension dependent on the reach required for the length of cut. All in all, very happy purchaser.
