Rated 1 out of 5 by from Posts wobble inside support The product in my view has a design fault. I was using the product on a 100mm x 100mm post to support a 90cm wide standard wooden gate. The product cements into the ground excellently no issues there. It is the design of the metal cuff part that sits above the ground that has the design problem. With the weight of the "standard" wooden gate, the single bolt grab point at the top of the metal cuff acts like a seesaw point. So for a 180cm (6ft) post, 0.5mm base of wood represents a 7.5mm movement at the top of the post, once weighted with the gate, with a metal cuff height of 12cm. In my case fortunately I had a 75cm post abutted to the gate post for a fence. So I put long screws through the 75cm fence post to into the the gate post for additional support. This corrected for the 7.5cm drop at the top of the gate post an all was rock solid. The cement in metal supports I used for the fence were of a different design and worked perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect post support Bought this 100mm concrete post support for putting up a pergola. My ground was poor with clay and a mass of stones so hammering a spike would be useless. This support solved that problem. Would suggest to also use a post level on this as it makes life that bit easier. Would use this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Strong Fix Used 4 of these to strengthen the support under a raised deck built to support a summerhouse. I prefer these concrete in rather than the hammer in spike type as it's easier to get them straight. The hammer ground spike type scew off when you hit a stone. These 100mm x 100mm concrete supports offer great strength. They hold the timber above the ground so stop the posts rotting. I would recommend and will use them again on future projects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for the job. I've used these to concrete into the existing holes that the old rotten wooden posts came out of and they do the job just fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Removable fence installed a removable fence with these to allow is to store boats in the back garden over winter. Really easy to install and do the job great however the fence is a bit wobbly as it is 6 foot and not a lot of the wood is supported within the post support

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes putting it up easy I have used these twice now, once about 3 years ago ( and they are still good and solid) , and also over the last fortnight. I used them for building large pergolas, allowing me to set out the base positions in advance, getting everything level and square, ready to accept the posts. The posts then just pop in and before you know it, its up! I have used them with 100mm PSE, which finish at 95mm so I slide in a cheeky pack here and there which keeps them nice and tight. The clamp part could be improved as it bends easily, and the bolts only have to look at rain and they rust, but a smear of grease keeps them ok, and its unlikely you will need to undo in the short term, but could be easily replaced in the future if necessary. Only 4stars for value as they are a bit expensive.
