Bristan Colonial Bathroom Basin Taps Pair is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap Rubbish That Look OK I've gone through 2 sets of these in under 2 years. Soft metal parts that wear very quickly and tap stops working in under a year. Absolute cheap rubbish! Its a shame as they look nice. Will be taking 2nd pair back today.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The tap top becomes loose ... Hi there, they look good and they work well for a period of time. However, the splines on the inner valves, or the splines in the tap handle - or both, are poorly designed or not "deep enough" - because, over time the tap handle starts slip and the tap stops working. I have had to add a thin metal shim between the valve and the tap so I can turn the tap on -- and more importantly, off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impressed initially Fitted in 2014 and was initially impressed by the weight and quality of these taps. However, the hot tap head fell off after 3.5 years of use. On investigation, the knurled top of the valve cartridge had totally corroded as had the base of the tap head. Repaired with tap reviver kit - replacement parts from Bristan too expensive (had lost original receipt so didn't attempt to claim on warranty).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good design These taps will suit young and old alike. The handles are easy to grip and the tap action is precise. Seem solid, and a 5 year guarantee is nice to have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very smart taps Good looking taps solid feel to them good for low pressure systems 0.2 bar. Very happy with the ones I fitted to the bath as well. 5yr warranty upon registration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality basin taps Great value taps that come with a five year guarantee. Well made, heavy items and deep chrome that looks like it will last forever.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good brand - Poor quality Purchased these taps in Aug 14 to replace a pair of 15 yr hold Heritage taps. After less than 6 mths the hot tap would only turn on with a trickle. On removing the tap head and cap they was a rusty mess underneath. It looks at though the spindle is held in place by a steel circlip which has rusted away. Would brass or stainless not have been better?
