Box Immersion Spanner is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says... I tried stilsons, I tried everything but nothing would shift my immersion, which had been in place since 1965, yes 1965. Two minutes after I got this box spanner delivered, the job was done. If your old immersion won't budge, this is what you need. Also handy for tightening up the new one!

Has they was no room to turn Ring spanner and was bend the top of tank the box spanner was larger than the ring spanner by 1mm and slip round heater nut till filling gap with 2p coin one of the flats work great after that

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spot on After struggling for an hour with a flat one, I decided to take a gamble with this one. I was not disappointed. Within thirty seconds, the old element was out. One slight drawback; there is a very small amount of play which could potentially cause a few burrs if you over tighten

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pucka did the job nicely, element was well and truly rusted in. With some help from hammer on shaft of spanner, element gave way. All good, lots of hot water now

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only just did the job. Spanner was too big for old heater. I had to bash flat sides of spanner with a hammer to stop it slipping. Spanner fit new heater ok but was still not a tight fit. Were these heaters made smaller years ago? The old one I was taking out had been there for about 30 years and was stuck solid. I heated area with a gas blow torch then gave the brass part of the old heater a couple of squirts of cold water. A sharp tap on the tommy bar of the spanner and hey presto!
