Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job Bought this to cut a 4" concrete sewer pipe, did the job in 5 minutes. Still in good condition

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bosch Brick Blade Used this to cut out for new internal lintel and doorway. It performed very well (although the wall comprised of plastered Celcon block, which is fairly soft. However, it got the job done and was much tidier than the cutting wheel I would normally use had the building been empty. I have also used it to "tooth out" brickwork mortar for some external repairs and again it went v.well. so far showing no sign of blunting. I used the blade in my Makita Recip saw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from okay (ish) fast through blocks, slower through building bricks, very slow through render. much less mess than an angle grinder or stone cutter and much less room for 'oops' moments. vacuum cleaner held by a willing partner should get most of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for cutting clay Used this to cut a clay pipe about 200mm diameter. This was already a few feet down so using a quick cut was going to need even more working room. Using the reciprocating saw meant that the pipe could be cut while still resting on the clay bed - there was no need to support it specially. Even after this job there's life in the blade for some other use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but with reservations Bought to cut brick around joists in a tight spot. Did it eventually but did have problems when it seemed to hit pebbles in the old bricks and no way of rotating the blade around them, but got it done with a bit of messing around. I would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts great Used to replaced shelled bricks cut through morter joints like going through butter

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed review Bought mine around 18 months ago and have used it a handful of times for a few minutes each time. Today whilst trying to cut out some bricks from a wall I noticed it was not doing much. Looked at the blade to see half the teeth missing from it. Worked great when it had teeth, but not so good the teeth fall out after such minimal use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great blade but... I'm glad I bought this as it will come in handy for cutting mortar joints but it didn't manage the job I had planned - it cuts through mortar like butter but it struggles with bricks - I tried to cut a doorway through only 20 courses of bricks. After the first two I gave up and used my angle grinder to cut through the front of the bricks and used this to cut the other half. It's fairly dust free but very slow and fairly blunt now after the equivalent of only 10 bricks.
