Big Clinker 2 Heavy Duty Tile Cutter 630mm is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 100.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent so far Got used to using the cutter, cutting 1 600x600 porcelain tile a few times, you only need light pressure when scoring and it cuts a dream, quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the money, won't long Well it lasted about a year. The pads in the middle have become half unglued, so that's annoying to clean out as detritus just builds up. I would refix this if it wasn't for the following issue. The lack of spare cutting wheel not being available in store is annoying to say the least. Please stock these screwfix!!! I think I will save my pennies and get a Rubi

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for porcelain tiles Doing a bathroom refit, and bought porcelain large format tiles (600x300x9mm). I'd previously done some tiling and used either a tile scribe or a wet cutter, however I'd never come across porcelain tiles before, and nothing of this size - they were very heavy and very difficult to cut. The tile scribe was obviously absolutely useless for these tiles, so I used my wet cutter, which had worked perfectly on heavy floor tiles in the past. The wet cutter did cut the porcelain, albeit very slowly, but left it in a complete mess - unsightly fractures all along the cut edges. The tiles were so big that it was very difficult to hold them steady on the cutter. I also found that the corners of the porcelain tiles would snap off frequently, meaning I had to bin lots of tiles. Went out and bought 2 brand new cutting blades, including a porcelain one - same result - poor cuts and lots of damage. After abandoning the job on the first day, I did some research and came across the Big Clinker 2. Picked one up from Screwfix immediately the next day. It does take a little practice to get used to, but after perfecting the cuts on a few broken tiles (of which I had plenty from my previous attempts), I managed to get a good technique. The Clinker cuts the heavy 600mm porcelain tiles with ease (they also fit in the cutter easily), and leaves almost zero mess and fractures along the cut. It's pricey for a DIYer but it will save you so much time and frustration. Tips for using it - make sure you don't 'bump' the cutting wheel onto the tile at the start of the cut - it needs to be sat already on the edge of the tile before starting to cut, or you end up cracking the corners off the tile. You need to apply very firm and consistent pressure when cutting to avoid the tile breaking in the wrong place. Finally, when snapping, the snapping bar needs to be very near the top of the tile, and I found that quick and firm downwards pressure snaps cleanly rather than slowly building up pressure, which tends to crack the tiles. After a bit of practice my bathroom install is going like a dream now. Fantastic product, pricey but worth it. Very well built and feels very strong, unlike some plastic cutters I looked at. Don't think I'll ever use a wet cutter for straight cuts again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So quick and so clean. Having always used fairly cheap wet tile saws in the past, I can't really compare this to other manual cutters. However, so far it has performed faultlessly cutting 12mm 610x150 porcelain floor tiles. It is so much quicker and cleaner than using a wet saw. Can't say too much about reliability but seems solidly built with replaceable cutting wheel. I just wish it came with a box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tile cutter I bought this tile cutter last week and have only used it for one job, but so far so good my first job was with porcelain tiles and it managed them with ease. Great value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far So good My reason for a 4 star reliability is because I have only used it for one job so far. Absolutely over the moon with this product, works perfectly, the features and aids make the job a breeze. Money well spent
