Soft-Close Ball Bearing Drawer Runners 500mm is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from a quality product I have used these runners on a number of projects and they are simple to set up. However, be sure to measure carefully as the fitting tolerance can be a little tight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid After using undermount runners lots, I neeed these for a specific project. Simple to set and fit when making drawers and the soft close is very smooth

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Work very well Surprisingly robust and well constructed. A lot of care is needed when measuring the drawers and subsequent fitting, Remember the adage...measure twice and cut once. I have used similar units from Screwfix before, and they work well for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good All-Round Performance Tried a number of different soft-close runners, these were the best by far. Easy to fit and after a little lubrication worked a treat. Each draw runs smooth on both opening and closing. Very good quality and exceptional value for money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap but not good value It appears from the other reviewers that this is a common problem with these runners! More quality control is needed... one of the runners doesn't work properly (likely the same issue diagnosed by another reviewer) - and they are too hard to pull out regardless. Some minor tweaking and they could have a good quality product here, shame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too hard to pull out I fitted these correctly, but they are too hard for my wife to pull out easily. Once out, they slide back nicely, but getting them out is difficult, as the previous reviewer found also. I am returning the two unused slides, and getting the non-soft closing ones instead.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Average at best I got a set of these to try out, luckily I didn't get enough to fit out the whole kitchen at once. Installation was fairly straightforward, with plenty of mounting holes to get fixings in, obviously much care needs to be taken to get them dead level and parallel. It wasn't until I got them in that I realised that one of the soft close spring mechanisms wasn't actuating properly. With only the return power of one slide working, it would leave the drawer sticking out 1/4". So I had it all apart again, entirely disassembled the problem slide, bearings everywhere, etc. Eventually diagnosed the problem being that the cheap pressed steel catch wasn't retaining the spring release properly. A small tweak with the pliers sorted it out, I even managed to get it all back together again without any bits left over. After a small re-lubrication it was working exactly like the other side. The first time around I thought the pulling force required to open the drawer and cock the mechanism was a bit stiff, but now with both of them working, it was downright hard! I got out my luggage scales to measure the force required to open the empty drawer, and it was over 4kg! Don't get me wrong, it slides home like a dream, but I don't want to feel like I'm hefting a sack of flour each time I want to get a teaspoon.
