Tesla Incoloy Immersion Heater 11" is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Working perfectly, shutting temperature down exactly on set limit. Comes with everything you need for hot water cylinder. I would recommend to use FPTE tape around 5 rounds and the a bit of compound and you should have no leak at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Difficult to remove faulty immersion element As I never replaced an immersion heater before I needed to carry out some research before replacing the element purchased from Screwfix. Luckily there was a Mod.No. on the existing unit and I ordered an equivalent element and box spanner. Some general info: Tank was small without foam insulation. Location - Soft water supply, age of faulty element 23 years. I live in a soft water area but map indicated it was medium so ordered an incoloy version. Order arrived and was time to check out how-to and review articles. To my dismay there appeared to be many problems removing faulty elements. I was a bit sceptical about this and continued with preparations. Disconnected electricity - Turned off water supply to tank with nearby stop cock - Opened hot water tap - Attempted to partially drain tank through valve at bottom of tank but because builder had not left sufficient room I was unable to connect hose to same. As thermostat pocket was leaking water I was slowly able to lower water level using a battery hydrometer to suck enough water out and to avoid spillage when I removed element. Now to removle element - Using the box spanner I unsuccessfully attempted to turn by hand. Many methods are suggested in forums and reviews and I unsuccessfully tried them all - Using extra leverage - multiple shocks using hammer blows to box spanner tommy bar - using blow torch to heat immersion boss unit (not successful as tank was nearly full with water and was cooling all very quickly) - Repeated same steps several times unsuccessfully. I was aware of multiple warnings that using too much force could damage tank. A day later and having got nowhere I was looking at my tools and I spotted a JUNIOR HACKSAW (has thin blade with many small teeth). Had a light bulb moment and decided to cut around laterally into existing element/tank fibre washer. While cutting tried to avoid saw blade coming into contact with tank mating surface. This took about 15-20 Minutes. Took care and vacuumed up the dust. Next I fitted box spanner over immersion and to my great surprise it turned using hand force only. Removed element and bits of old fibre washer. Gently cleaned up further using old wood chisel. Cleaned threads carefully. Using Boss White I coated fibre washer that was included, on both sides.. Avoided gaps in coverage and gently unto immersion boss using a screwing action. Also coated boss threads. Next I fitted immersion into tank taking great care to avoid any damage to the thread. Screwed up hand tight then fitted box spanner and hand tightened further. Reconnected electrical cable and turned on water. There is not a sign of any leaks after 3 days. The method described worked for me but may not work for everyone. Anyone with a foam insulated tank would need to remove enough foam to allow access with the JUNIOR HACKSAW.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked well for 3 months Brought this in June and fitted it mid July due to a 13 year old one giving in, easy to change and fit if you know the basics (I'm a qualified water plumber, not gas). this new one kept the water on standby hot throughout the day set at 55 degrees, not at the full 70 degrees it can go up to. On October 13th however, it no longer works, water does not heat up, ran a tester on it and there was power coming in to the thermostat but no power passing through it, I have an emersion heater so that required 2 of these, the other one packed in 4 days after the first one. Just over 3 Months after fitting. Due to not being able find the receipt and not having a screwfix account at the time, I couldn't return these, a mistake I won't make again as I now have an account to keep a record of the items I have brought. I don't recommend these at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good buy Easy to fit and very quite. We had an old copper element before this one is much better and well worth the extra few pounds.
