Rated 1 out of 5 by Bloodknock from Buy another make This is a great system for tiling but these Vitrex clips are poorly made and vary in thickness from 1.4mm to 2.7mm: they are quoted as 1.5 so quite an error if you want a consistent grout line. Some even vary on the same clip edge to edge! The original clips I bought elsewhere were unbranded but consistent in their thickness and made from a better material. I only needed 20 to finish a job and couldn't wait 3 days for a delivery so went through a bag just to get those I needed, discarding those that still had molding flash on and those that were too far away from the 1.5mm. Use the system, but not from Vitrex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mcludd from Tile clip things Hard to find anyone who sells just the clips without the wedges, I have about 1000 wedges and need never buy another one so these clips are all I need rather than wasting money on the full kit and for tiling with 500 - 600mm tiles you can't do it without these fellas

Rated 5 out of 5 by KentLady from Extra Clips Have used these before, if you are tackling a large area they are a MUST so easy to use and getting the desired levels, so no wasting of Tiles or Adhesives, makes floor laying less daunting Task, well worth that little extra expense when laying expensive tiles just makes good sense. Savings made not having to hire a Professional Trades Person so keeping you DIY projects within budget.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Zingzangzong from Works well Being an experienced and competent diy'er I'm always keen on having a go at doing things myself, tiling being one of the skills I am least proficient in. (possibly because I value speed as much as quality and I couldn't seem to achieve both myself). The last area I tiled was a 16m2 kitchen area and whilst it looked good at first glance, on closer inspection there were lots of small lips where the tiles met one another. I researched (googled) lots of help and tips on how to overcome this and then found a product that appeared to help, a tile lippage system with spacers and wedges and a tool to help pull them together. The Vitrex tile levelling system is very similar except without the tool. You simply insert a spacer between the tiles (underneath) and then put the tiles down into position and insert a wedge which then ensures that where the tiles meet they are pulled to the same level and there are no lips sticking up. Whilst this product is good and does what it needs, there is still a requirement to ensure that the tiles are reasonably level and the use of a spirit level will help. One other point is that when you need to leave an area and then pick up where you left off, say overnight, it is quite hard to then get the spacers to sit tight up against the tiles resulting in a slightly bigger space than that's stated. I overcame this by cutting them off from the night before with a sharp stanley knife and then reinserting new ones. When the wedges were removed (all you do is kick the spacers off) the tiled area looked extremely good. All nice and flat with not a lip in sight. Maybe it's because I have got more experienced as well however this product certainly helped. Value for money - They aren't cheap, the wedges are reusable but the spacers themselves aren't. But the finish they help to achieve means you don't have to employ a professional tiler. All in all recommended.
