Varilight 2-Gang 13A Mocha DP Switched Socket with Metal Rockers is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice finish, poor construction Bought these as they matched my woodwork colour perfectly so the sockets disappeared into the skirtings visually. Beware of over-tightening the screws fixing this to the backbox as it can deform the soft plastic frame. Also while the screws and ports are plenty large enough for multiple cables (I managed 3cables easily on one of them), make sure to grip it by the metal part, not the soft plastic when tightening as again you can snap it very easily! These do not fit inside MK branded backboxes, nor do the single sockets, they do fit in the appleby boxes for sale here however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice quality sockets Does what it says... Straight forward swap for an old, horrible plastic socket. Nicely finished

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice looking but pricey Quality looking product, but considerably more expensive than normal white.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value stylish range I had used these before - I liked the look, and the price is great for a flush plated range of fittings. I found the earthing connections a bit more restricted than the ones I was replacing, but not a big inconvenience. I've never had a big problem fitting the fronts - all clipped on OK - and some my walls are anything but flat. I suspect that problems will be caused by overtightening fixing screws - I could see this would distort the backing plate.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ropey, but no alternative I have these, and the light switches, in both my bedroom and living room and it must be said that the previous reviewer is correct - the face plates are indeed difficult to make stick. The problem is that if you want brown metallic sockets and switches there really doesn't seem to be any alternative on the market. It seems random, insofar as some click on ok and others simply refuse to grab, however a small blob of No Nails in the middle is enough to solve the problem, just so long as you know you'll never want to take them off again!
