Stanley 110 Block Plane is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from One failing Great little plane just spoiled by one thing - how the iron is mounted. It looks like it'd be a good idea having just a clamp, but in reality it's very hard to get this set just right. You have to tap the end of the iron to push it forward, and if you do it too hard you have to tap the body of the plane to get it back out (and that is what the actual instructions say to do!). I ended up using a hammer to gently tap it into place. It's a right fiddle. Once you do get it set up, the iron is sharp and the device performs well, especially for the price. A real mixed bag. If you can live with the awful mechanism (or lack of) for setting the iron, you'll do alright with this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Annoying In order to change the depth of the plane you need to physically move the blade yourself and for a quick job it is a pain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice little plane I worked it so that I can see my reflection in the bottom and it does a remarkably good job for such an inexpensive plane. I was able to plane both across and even with the grain of some Cherry to the point that it didn't even need to be sanded. Good weight on it too for such a little thing. I liked that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid little plane what you would expect from Stanley. Good value and reliable little plane

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Plane Looked at the 'budget' block planes, but, bought the Stanley based on my experience of my 30 yo smoothing plane - blades are made of quality steel and remain very keen in use. The blade adjustment is fiddly, compared with conventional adjustment methods, but, once you've got used to it, it is secure and accurate.
