Sash Clamp 24" is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value clamp Although the screw thread was a little stiff which meant the clamp itself rotated slightly a couple of times as I tightened them, I'm sure once the thread gets used a bit more and it loosens up a bit this will not be a problem. Apart from that the two 24" clamps I purchased worked perfect at clamping biscuit jointed planks while the glue set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value but needs a tweak. Bought these to clamp some boards edge to edge and as I don't use clamps that often these low price clamps were ideal. As other reviewers have done I tweaked these clamps by slipping a length of wood up the centre to stiffen them up a bit, secured the wood with small screws at the end and glued some small pieces of thin plywood to the jaws to protect the workpieces. I've deducted one star because of the tweaking I've done to make them stiffer. They are much lighter than the more expensive steel clamps and very good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight clamp After buying two more 24" clamps I now have six of these clamps in 24" and another eight in 48", I mainly use them for clamping biscuit jointed projects and small panel doors with the clamps fixed in alternating points above and below where they provide adequate pressure over the whole glue line. They can easily be used with a sacrificial pieces of pine to help spread the pressure and avoid marking the work piece. I prefer these lightweight clamps for biscuit joinery and small cabinet making work in pine over heavier steel sash clamps where there is a risk of dropping and denting the work piece for those times when I have butter fingers! There can be a slight amount of flexing on longer clamps, but this can easily be controlled by firmly holding the screw clamp end when tightening to the final required pressure. The tommy bars that tighten the clamp are kept in place with plastic end caps which occasionally fall off or get lost. This is no problem as I have glued some back on with contact/impact adhesive and ones that were lost replaced with nyloc hex nuts by cutting a thread on the tommy bar....easy with a tap and die set! Even with this minor issue they are still my preferred clamp to use every time. I can fully recommend them, and they're easy get used to in respect of how they work over steel sash clamps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great clamp for all over Was looking for a long clamp but not for a fortune as it was just for around the house, furniture etc.... this fit the bill exactly! Great price does everything i need! Not sure if it would survive on a building site, but for home fix it jobs or projects, its works wonderfully! Couldnt recommend it more... especially if you have kids ;)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to use I bought 5 x 48" and then 4 more at 24" because I am starting up in woodwork again and have a lot of stuff to buy so budget was a big consideration. I find these hard to use, the screw heads get jammed when trying to bring them up to the work. I have hold the head and keep it roughly in line with the bar to get the head to move freely. The little rubber caps on the tightening bar fly off when i try to apply some pressure. These clamps do the job but if your budget can run to it I would suggest spending a little bit more..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent lightweight sash cla This the second one of this length I have bought. I also have four longer ones. They all need a little fettling (ala Paul's Sellers), but once done are very good. I have some stronger iron ones but for closing joints in woodworking these are all I need.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from get what you pay for needed some sash cramps for one job so didn't want to spend much money so thought these would be perfect seeing the reviews, but was wrong upon winding them up the slider just kept locking up even with nothing in them. very disappointed wouldn't recommend even for a one off job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value Clamp This is first class value for a clamp. The screw thread gives a much more positive grip when gluing up which the hand grip ones don't. A bit of fettling is needed to suit woodworking. A 17mm x 25mm piece of wood in the channel stiffens them up and a 38mm x 38mm piece of plywood in the jaws fixed with some double sided tape gives better protection to your wood. Overall a very versatile and useful clamp.
