Makita RT0700CX4/2 710W ¼" Router Trimmer 240V is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Machine Have only given very good on star ratings as just purchased but the initial usage of this hand held router are excellent. The build quality is very good, seems solid and well made, with the variable speed being probably the best feature. The only negative is there is no case or bag to keep everything together, will have to buy something, but I still chose this machine over the Bosch which actually comes in a case. Another easy purchase from screwfix, ordered and collected with no fuss! Would recommend ***

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bit of kit Really easy to use much better than my plunge router. Would be better if it cam in a case but that is a small thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product. Bought this router to rebate the hinges and latches on several new oak doors. Bought a set of Trend router bits (also from Screwfix) to accompany the Makita. Delighted with the product, oozes quality, slightly expensive, but a quality product that should give years of service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent machine I am not a carpenter, but have 12 oak doors to fit, so decided to buy this router. It is excellent for doing the rebates for hinges and door catches, and so much more accurate than using a wood chisel. Just bear in mind that there are no cutters included so I bought an Erbauer 12.7 x 19mm which works well with this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed and well made I've had this router for 11 months now and it has seen regular use on a variety of hardwood and softwood furniture building projects. It's a solid, well-designed and well-made bit of kit. It's handled edge-routing, trimming, dadoes, rabbets and pattern cutting without missing a beat. It's a shame that it doesn't come with a case but that's not enough for me to mark it down. You can buy a plunge base separately so I'm currently considering doing that rather than buying a plunge router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use I have used routers for years but after trying a friends had to buy this one. Soft start, well balance, easy to use single handed and plenty of power.
