LAP Dual Voltage Shaver Socket 115/230V White is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice unit good price Nice simple unit that does the job well. The client had noticed that it hummed when the electric toothbrush was connected, however this is common with transformers and I've not noticed it with some of these I've purchased previously

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great socket Rated it tops as always fit these, haven't had to replace any to date. Nice looking and quality is there. Easy to install and no buzzing as you get with some other makes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good bit of kit Looked through other reviews and eventually decided to take a chance on this even though a number of reviews had problems. I was fitting flush to plasterboard so had no problems with the Appleby 47mm Dry Lining Box, plenty deep enough. The socket has been working for 24hrs now and ok with toothbrush charger. If you put you ear to the socket you can hear a small hum but considering this is on a stud wall which can act as an amplifier it is very good. Cannot comment on reliability as too new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shaver socket As others have mentioned good value and does what it is supposed to. Reason for my review is to say that my unit does hum quietly as discussed by others.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor design I can only use one of the two sockets (110V/230V) at once, yet I want to be able to use both, as some other shaver sockets allow. This seems a deliberate design decision in the plastic shutters, but I find this clumsy, and would not have bought this socket if I had known of this limitation. (I have no idea about reliability, yet this review can't be posted until I fill in a rating for it. Hence the 3/5, since I don't know, but assume it's probably OK.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Style wise, is neat and tidy and includes caps for the screws to hide the screw heads - nice rounded corners, looks good when installed. As with other reviews it is a bit deeper than other shaver sockets - due to the positioning on the back of one of the elements. Makes a close fit in the back box if it's not going on a tiled wall. Also, the shaving point is at the bottom of the socket - most others near the top. So check the amount of wiring you have, especially if this is a replacement socket. Happy with the product, easy to fit and does what it needs to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well pleased customer I bought this shaver socket from my local Screwfix at Fareham and I have fitted it and it is brilliant, not only value for money but does what it's supposed to do, well pleased.
