Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job! Bought for my husband who wanted to cut large holes in fence posts for rope swag - couldn't find an ordinary large flat drill, saw this and wondered if it would do the job. He was delighted when I presented it to him, and the holes were duly drilled with ease.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for over 32mm augering Like many, I imagine, not pleased at the limited diameters available for flat bits and there doesn't seem to be anything over 32mm. Needed 30mm and 40mm exactly for deck lights. I have only just bought this so I am relying on the usual Erbauer quality. Possibly read Expensive for Expansive, and the Allen key barely fits the adjuster, swapping the two variable heads over is a bit fiddly. BUT - great result. You can make any size to within 1mm. I am finding that once the central bore is through the offset head doesn't complete the drill so if you want a clean bore all the way through use a backplate

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance Excellent performance. I have used a few Erbauer products before, namely drill bits and return to them due to the great performance and good value. I have a number of paddle/spade bits and forstner bits and thought I would try this bit out - really impressed with the neatness of the finished hole which rivals with a forstner bit finish (potentially beats). Size adjusted easily. However one slight downside was that 1 of the 2 removable rails was not quite milled properly meaning it required some jiggery pokery to make it fit within the slide for the first time (little bit of filing on the corner required). All in all really impressed with this product which saves me time, space and money, Note to screwfix/kingfisher - I had photos of the excellent finish left by this bit but there is no photo upload feature. Would recommend this feature as really aids when reading/writing reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Useful This is just the job if you want something for boring holes of varying sizes. If you want a pizza slicer, don't use this. I've only used it for wood but it does the job nicely, probably not as quick as using a fixed flat blade and when I'm using it on a pillar drill it needs to be used on a medium speed to bore slowly without too much pressure but it gives a tidy finish.
