Rated 4 out of 5 by Giles90 from Pricey - but they are good This is the most money I've ever spent on a full set of drill bits by a long long way, and the price looks to be even higher now than what I paid. Previously I used to buy single drill bits here and there as I needed them, for a few quid a throw. Why buy this set? The quality of the bits is incredible. I'm used to pretty much any brand of drill bit kits being the same old rubbish - nothing special, cheese grade metal bits, and the only really good bits were sold individually. In this kit DeWalt have put in their top of the range twist and masonry bits, and they fly through anything you care to drill - and this makes a big difference. A good masonry bit can be the difference between needing an SDS drill or making do with a cordless. The wood / metal bits are... sometimes challenging to use. They pull themselves through lighter woods (like spruce) almost as quick as screws, and stopping them at a required depth can actually be difficult - thats how effective these bits are. But if you're drilling pilot holes in something, expect the drillbit to sink into the wood faster than the screw will do. The extra bit that juts out of the larger wood / metal bits really does help centre it. The holesaw set is fine, nothing to write home about. The impact bits are top quality, and the quantities are right. One of each more specialised bit, but 25 PZ2 and 25 PH2 bits will last me for a good number of years. I used one of the torx bits to drive 120mm long concrete screws into a slightly undersized hoe, and despite the impact driver really having to push it home, the bit looks unused, so they really are solid. The bad bits - the angle adjustable bit holder thing is fine for straight forward screwing (although I prefer a slimmer profile) and when being used at an angle is not really much good. The price is high enough to make your eyes water but the bits really are good. This kit isn't for everybody by a long shot, but it's hard to be dissapointed with the quality. I didn't notice that there weren't any spade bits in the kit at first, which I would have expected but this is no major loss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Majestic12 from Fantastic Set, High Quality Great, High quality set, maybe a few too many driver head bits but still a outstanding purchase. Drill bits chew through wood/masonry with ease and its nice they give you extra of the more common sized masonry bits (5 and 8). My main gripe is its quite hard to remove/replace the drill bits into their plastic retainer, this is more of a packaging design issue though and in no way effects the actual products purpose.
